This painting was made in art school. It scared the other students, so I softened it down a lot, especially around the eye area. It looked like the child was frozen and dead to the other students. It still bothers me, that the paintings original spirit got erased in the process of pleasing the audience. But I kind of learned my lesson this way, to follow my inner guidance and express myself more authentically.
